Due to popular demand, you can now use your own Dreamweaver templates to generate entire SiteAssist Professional site. Just establish 3 editable regions – one for the navigation, another for content and a final one for the footer – and your Dreamweaver template is good to go. Create separate templates for the home and content pages to maximize your SiteAssist Professional potential.Work with CSS Sculptor or CSS Menu Writer
While you can easily use SiteAssist Professional to generate complete CSS-based sites with the included designs, you can also extend SiteAssist Professional to work with other designs, menus and page types. SiteAssist Professional allows you to import layouts exported from CSS Sculptor or navigation exported CSS Menu Writer directly into SiteAssist Professional. With either installed, SiteAssist Professional automatically recognizes the available presets, including custom ones.
Site types for industry-specific Web sites
In SiteAssist Professional, a site type is a collection of pages with varying layouts, geared for a certain kind of site. Site types included are: administrative (for order, item and visitor management), club/associations, consultant professional, corporate, education, intranet, medical professional, non-profit, online store, personal, portfolio, real estate and special event. Best of all, you can easily save any modified file configuration as a custom site type to use again and again.Professionally Designed Page Layouts
When you select your site type in SiteAssist Professional, a default set of pages are made available. For example, choose the Online Store site type and you'll get a starting selection for both catalog and product pages. Later in the SiteAssist Professional wizard, you can change the current page types to anything you want. Choose from the expert layouts available-or add your own custom types. You're free to add new pages, remove unwanted ones, and even modify the site structure.
Manage your site elements
The new SiteAssist Professional Layout Manager gives you the power to totally manage your site types, layouts and page types. Remove any unneeded components or import new ones with the click of a button. You can even export a site type, layout or page type to move to another system or share with a colleague.Add custom CSS and scripting to pages
With a custom page type, you can style the content of a page exactly the way you'd like it-and easily use that design over and over again. Your custom page type can include any specific CSS rule as well as any scripting.
